John Ausmus – Board Member

John joined Zimmerer Kubota & Equipment in August of 2021.  He came to ZK after 25 years in the Office Technology industry with a focus on Managed Print Services. John became the Store Manager at Zimmerer Kubota in Gainesville in October of 2022.

My goals for being on the Board for the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce will focus on helping businesses prosper and grow, find ways to increase job opportunities, contribute to the overall economic stability of the community, promote a system of competitive marketing, focus on the interests of small businesses in a local area, provide resources that help businesses save money and market their products, and finally, promote and protect the interests of its members.

Outside of working as the Store Manager at ZK Gainesville, John likes to play golf, coach/watch baseball and spend time with his wife Jacque.  John and Jacque have 2 sons and daughters-in-law, 4 grandchildren and 2 dog children.  John is an Alumni of Hardin Simmons University, and he attends Cottonwood Creek Church with Jacque.

Personal life note:  John has been involved with baseball in some fashion for the last 30+ years.  He was an assistant coach at Hardin Simmons University, Head Baseball Coach at Eastfield College, Scout with the Cincinnati Reds, Scout with the San Diego Padres and currently coaches with United Baseball Club.  John was a baseball umpire in the Big 12, Conference USA, Mountain West Conference, Western Athletic Conference, and the Missouri Valley Conference.  He enjoyed umpiring many conference tournaments and NCAA post season tournaments in his career.
